M.88 - Osoby Collection: Nazi documentation from the Special Archive (Osoby) in the Soviet Union
The Collection contains files that were photocopied from the "Special Archive" in Moscow; the existing documentation in the Archive was taken as plunder by the Red Army when it occupied Germany.
In the Collection there is documentation from important archives in Germany, documentation confiscated by the Germans from countries they occupied during the war, documentation from Jewish archives in and outside of Germany confiscated by the Germans and more.
It should be noted that the Collection also contains documentation from the Centralverein deutscher Staatsbuerger juedischen Glaubens (Central Association of German Citizens of Jewish Faith - CV) which fought against anti-Semitism and discrimination against Jewish citizens of Germany and had already been established during the period of the German Empire.
