Outbreak of the war; air-raids; escape to Lodz; life in the Lodz Ghetto, 1940-1944; his father's business trade in secret outside the ghetto; death of his mother, 1941; murder of his father outside the ghetto; forced labor in a nail factory, distributing mail etc.; deportation to Auschwitz, June 1944; camp life including labor in a construction school; contacts with a non-Jewish Kapo and transfer to labor in the kitchen; smuggling alcohol into the camp; evacuation of the camp; transfer to Mauthausen; transfer to Melk; transfer to Gusen; death march to Gunskirchen camp; liberation. Move to Italy with the Jewish Brigade; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
