Deportation of her family members to Rozwadow, Poland because they were foreign citizens, 1939; transfer to Siberia; death of her grandmother; death of her grandfather; life in Siberia including searching for food in garbage containers and the hardships in obtaining kosher food for her father; her mother earns the family's livelihood; her father's illness; death of her father; move to Tundra, Uzbekistan; hospitalization of her mother in a hospital due to a contagious disease; concern for her siblings including hardships to obtain food; receives food from a Moslem woman teacher; death of her younger sister; her mother's return from the hospitalization; death of her brother; placed in an orphanage in Stalinabad due to her deteriorated physical condition; life in the orphanage, in which 50 of the 200 orphans were Jewish, and including the attitude of the counselors; liberation, 1945.
