Annexation to Hungary; restrictions; displays of antisemitism, yellow badge and turning over valuables; deportation of her family with Jews from the area to the Dej Ghetto, May 1944; ghetto life; deportation to Auschwitz after six weeks; life in Camp A with a group of women; many suicides; transfer to Birkenau after six weeks; receives food before transfer to Altenburg; camp life including labor manufacturing weapons in a Krupp factory under the supervision of the a female Block Elder from Auschwitz; appointment as forewoman for a group of women; liberation by the US Army, 13 April 1945.
Move to Waldenburg on foot; receives food and good treatment; air-raids; transfer to Buchenwald; receives vaccinations and inoculations in preparation for emigration to the United States; escape out of a desire to return home; move via Prague, Budapest and Bucharest; move to Osoi with help from the JDC; information regarding the deaths of her entire family in the war; starts a family.
