Annexation to Hungary, autumn 1940; Zionist activities; displays of antisemitism; anti-Jewish legislation; help to Jewish forced laborers from Hungary; concentration of the Jews in the synagogue, May 1944; deportation to the Satmar Ghetto; confiscation of property; deportation to Auschwitz, 19 May 1944; camp life; transfer to Gelsenkirchen, July 1944; camp life including forced labor clearing away rubble, digging trenches and porterage; contacts with Italian POWs; deaths of inmates due to British air-raids; transfer to Soemmerda; camp life, including forced labor manufacturing ammunition; Allied forces air-raids; illness; death march; liberation, 09 May 1945. Return to Romania; marriage; aliya to Israel, 1971; absorption and rehabilitation.
