Her childhood.
Escape to the Soviet Union with her father and brother; her mother and eldest brother remain in Warsaw; labor logging trees in a kolkhoz in the Arkhangelsk region; deportation to Kara-Samarkand to labor paving roads; transfer to Gallyaaral; labor as the region's clerk.
Return to Poland at the end of the war, 1946; joins a "kibbutz" in Buchenwald; aliya attempt; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Israel, July 1948; fate of her family.
