Testimony of Dov Juraj Salamon, born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, 1932, regarding his experiences in Bratislava, Ravensbrueck, Sachsenhausen and a death march Life in a middle-class, traditional home, the absence of his father from the house; attends a Neolog school in 1938; his father's work as a junior clerk in the Labor Office in Bratislava, 1940; his father's life in Zilina because of his work; his father's arreston the charge of accepting bribes on 03 December 1942; his father's subsequent death, apparently murdered while in jail; life alone in his parents' apartment as a result of the deportation of his mother in November 1944; his sister remained at her friend's house; betrayal by a neighbor to the Slovakian police and deportation to the Sered camp; meets his mother, who made sure that he would remain with her in the Ravensbrueck camp, one alone boy in a women's camp; the final traumatic separation from his mother and transfer to the nearby men's camp; forced labor in the camp; transfer of the inmates of the Sachsenhausen camp in March 1945; packages from the Red Cross; the start of the chaos associated with the end of the war; death march towards the North Sea in April 1945; liberation by the Red Army. Return to Bratislava in July 1945; joins an agricultural training group; aliya to Eretz Israel with forged documents presenting him as the son of Bacharach, a soldier in the Jewish Brigade, 1947; the absoption process; rehabilitation and starting a family.
