Traditional family, the father is a tradesman; emigration of four brothers to Argentina before the war.
The German occupation, summer 1941; burning of Jewish homes; kidnapping of young men and murdering them near the town; establishment of a ghetto, receiving of a vital workers card until October 1942; liquidation of the ghetto; discovery of the family in an underground hiding place and their detention in prison; escape; hiding in the town and move to Warsaw with the help of a non-Jew; living under the false identity of Henryk Kowalczyk till the end of the war; contact with the Jewish underground outside the ghetto and with the Polish underground; hiding in a bunker in Warsaw for 100 days after the Warsaw Polish Uprising and until the entry of the Red Army; liberation, January 1945.
Emigration to Argentina, 1947; aliya to Israel, 1978.
