Family background; his father is a carpenter; a carpentry shop owned by his father with local workers; studies in a general school in Polish and Ukrainian; seventh grade graduation; Torah studies in the afternoon room; work in a fabric store after school; good relations with the Ukrainian population; work as a draper until the outbreak of the war.
Entry of the Red Army; communism; prohibition on keeping workers; German occupation, 1941; food shortages; ban on buying meat; executions of Jewish men; property robbery; Aktions; death of his mother from illness, 1943; hiding with his brother and father in hideout in the house; living in inaction and hiding in different places; Aktion and arrest; deportation to Czortkow Prison; transfer to Jagielnica; the camp; escape from the camp to hideout.
Liberation; search for relatives; enlistment into the Red Army; service in Sverdlovsk; release due to medical condition after about three months; move to Bytom; life after the war; aliya to Eretz Israel, May 1948; absorption.
