Testimony of Margit (Lichtenstern) Wolf, born in Vienna, Austria in 1911, regarding her aliya to Eretz Israel by means of a special permit to marry a resident of Eretz Israel using a Power of Attorney
Emigration to the Netherlands, 1938; marriage to a resident of Eretz Israel in absentia - his presence [at the marriage] was by means of a Power of Attorney, done with special permission from the Queen of the Netherlands, in January 1940; she joins a group, as a citizen of Mandatory Palestine, that returned to Eretz Israel as part of an exchange agreement for the return of POWs, in October 1942; travel by train to Syria via Turkey; arrival in Afula; brief stay in Atlit; release in November 1942.
