Testimony of Tzvi Grisha Goldgamer, born in Suwalki, 1926, regarding his experiences in hiding in Knienicze and Serniki Religious family; attends a “heder” and the Jewish school; antisemitism. Entry of the Germans and immediate escape to Augustow, 1939; escape of his brother and a male cousin in the same direction; attends school; transfer to Slonim by the Russians; transfer to his uncle in Luck, 20 February 1941; transfer from the Luck Ghetto to hiding with another 17 Jews in a granary owned by a Czech Catholic family in Knienicze; move to a hiding place in Serniki; burning of Serniki by the Germans; return to the hiding place of the Czech Catholic family, winter 1944; liberation by the Red Army. Return to Luck; move to Bialystok; move to aliya training in Sosnowiec; move to Italy; detention in Cyprus for two years; aliya to Israel, 06 July 1948.
