German occupation of Budapest; receives an order and draft to forced labor in an oil factory; life in a labor battalion in Szolnok filling pits caused by air-raids and transferring goods, shortly thereafter; jumps from a train to escape, 15 October 1944; arrival to his uncle in Budapest; entry into the Glass House of the Swiss consul with the help of a friend; encounter with Arrow Cross members and detention; liberation, 18 January 1945.
