Dabrowica's community between the two World Wars; growth of Dabrowica's institutions and branching out of the public life.
Community's decline during Soviet rule; outbreak of the war between Germany and the Soviet Union, 22 June 1941; mass escape to the east; unsuccessful attempt of the witness to escape with his sister to the east and their return to Dabrowica; work with his father and uncle in his uncle's flour mill which continues its activity under German supervision and management; establishment of the Dabrowica Ghetto, May 1942; roll-calls in the market square; mass escape of the ghetto's Jews; liquidation of the ghetto, 26 August 1942; hidden with his uncle in a granary by a local farmer; suicide attempt with his uncle while in hiding; escape to a forest four months later; meets Russian partisans and joins a partisan brigade under the command of Reva; partisan activities in a combat section in the Unified Partisan brigade of General Saburov in the Polesie forests; wounded during the attack on Chrapun; participation in battles to liberate Dabrowica and Wysock; unification of the partisans with the Red Army in the Tomaszow-LubeIski forests, 1944; drafted to a special brigade established by the NKVD and combat in UPA.
Repatriation to Poland; reunion with his sister in Lodz; joins Aliya Bet; sets sail on the "Enzo Sereni" ship to Eretz Israel, December 1945; enlists in the Haganah; drafted to the IDF's Navy in Israel's War of Independence.
