Testimony of Pnina Zahavi, born in Snow, Poland, 1926, regarding her experiences in Snow and as a forced laborer using a false identity in Germany Her childhood. Life under Soviet occupation, September 1939; acts of robbery by villagers from the area after the Soviets flee, July 1941; persecution of Jews after the German occupation; murder of most of the residents of Snow, including her family; hidden by a Baptist minister who is the head of the town council; escape to Baranowicze; joins a group of Soviet forced laborers using the false identity of Valentina Stepantsova; transfer with the group to Munich, July 1942; labor in a sewing factory and a weapons factory in Munich; Allied air-raids; labor clearing the rubble; labor as a housemaid for a German family; suspicion of being Jewish; liberation by the US Army, May 1945. Aliya to Eretz Israel via Italy on the "Wedgwood" ship, 1946.
