Draft of his brother into the Greek Army; transfer of his brother with the army to Albania, October 1940; defeat of the Greek Army in the war with the Italian Army; witness finds a hiding place in Martino due to his brother's request; detention of his father by Italians for suspicion of contact with partisans; acts of punishment by the Germans for partisan activities; his brother's rescue by a non-Jewish girlfriend; agricultural labor in the home of the village's secretary; obtains forged documents; handing over of weapons by partisans in Larimna; capture and abuse by Germans; arrival of the partisans and the Germans flee.
