Drafted into the Red Army, 1939; life as a Red Army soldier including combat against the German Army; wounded and taken captive by the German Army; transfer to a POW camp; escape to a village in the area; deportation to Heddernheim, autumn 1942; camp life; liberation by the US Army, April 1945.
Move to the Soviet Union, May 1945.
