Life in Moscow including prayers in the synagogue on the occasion of the establishment of the State of Israel; in detention along with other Jews, after the prayers; exile to Potma on the charge of membership in a Zionist organization; camp life including underground activities against the authorities; life with Jews; sentenced to 10 years in prison; labor as a physician; endures lashes from a young person during the "Doctors Trial" (blood libel in the Soviet Union against physicians); death of Josef Stalin, and the witness' release; reunion with his brother, Zalman Shazar; witness' brother is chosen to be the President of the State of Israel; witness' aliya to Israel.
