Life in Berislav with the onset of the German occupation on August 28, 1941; murder of Jews in late August in a gully near town; murder of parents, sister Polina, and brother Motya in an Aktion; escaping from the Aktion; living in hiding nearby with two brothers, Moysey and Iosif, from September 1941 to spring 1942; searching for food nearby; brothers murdered in spring 1942; life in hiding in the locality with an acquaintance of her parents for 3–4 months; life in hiding with an acquaintance of her parents, Vasiliy Verkhoglyad, in Kachkarovka until the liberation in 1944; chance encounter with her maternal aunt in Nikopol; lives with her after the war.
