Documentation regarding the evacuation of the population in the Noordholland region, 1943-1945 - Underground announcement including a report regarding an attack on an SS patrol vehicle by residents of the village of Akersloot; escape of five Jews from the patrol vehicle; freeing of two Dutch workers who had been arrested in the past by the SS because they had failed to report for Arbeitseinsatz (forced labor) (p. 1); - List of the names of citizens evacuated to the village of Koedijk; the list was sent by the mayor of Koedijk to the director of the Evacuatiebureau (Evacuation Office) in Alkmaar; there are approximately 60 names on the list, including the name of the head of the family, an indication of the number of people with him (wife and/or other family members) and address (pp. 4-5), 07 October 1943; - List of the names of citizens evacuated to Oudorp; there are 44 last names on the list, including the name of the head of the family, date of birth, the place from which the family was evacuated, address and family members with him (p. 6), 08 October 1943; - List of names of citizens evacuated to St. Pancras; there are approximately 110 names on the list, including last name, first name, the place from which they were evacuated, address and a comment indicating whether they "were evacuated, escaped because they were afraid or as a result of hostile actions" (pp. 10-12), 15 June 1944; an additional list with the names of citizens evacuated to "outlying communities" (Buitengemeenten, Ursem, Heilo, Schoorl, Castricum, Koedijk, Egmond Binnen, Egmond A.D Hoef, Noord-Scharwoude, Zuid-Scharwoude, Bergen, Akersloot, Oudorp, Huiswaard or Heer Hugo Waard); there are 35 names on the list including name, place from which they were evacuated, address and number of people (pp. 13-14); an additional list with the names of 58 women who had been hospitalized in Alkmaar hospitals for sexually transmitted diseases including last name and address; there is a note that the list is not to be publicized (pp. 15-16); these lists were entered separately in Yad Vashem Entry Number 4411930 in Sapir); - Circular sent by the Bureau Afvoer Burgerbevolking (Office for Evacuation of the Civilian Population) in The Hague to mayors; Christmas bonus to those evacuated from their places of residence; additional circular in which the mayors are requested to report to the Office for Evacuation of the Civilian Population in The Hague how much money will be required to care for the evacuees located in the various places (pp. 17-21), 06 December 1944; - Report regarding a Course in Economics being taught by Maas from the Economic Department in the Office for Evacuation of Noordholland in Alkmaar, 25 January, 01 February, 15 February, 22 February and 01 March 1945 (pp. 22-31); - Circular distributed by the director of the Office for Evacuation of the Civilian Population in The Hague to mayors and relief offices for matters related to evacuation of the population in the Noordholland, Zuidholland and Zeeland regions, 03 March 1945; rent money for evacuees and guarding of the homes of the evacuees (pp. 34, 35, 51); - Circular sent by the Commissioner for Evacuation of the Civilian Population in Noordholland to the mayors, 08 May 1945; return of the evacuees to their former places of residence (pp. 53-58); - Two letters signed by Karel sent to Loes, Kars and Han (pp. 60, 62), 02 May 1945; - A few letters; writer and addressee unknown (pp. 64-68), May 1945; - Announcements sent by Prof. Dr. Bekherst, the Military Commissioner in Noordholland regarding press conferences to be held once a week (pp. 69-71), 17 May and 23 May 1945; - Announcement published by C. Krijjgsman, the Military Commissioner in the Haarlem area, 30 May 1945; permit from the Office of Evacuation of the Civilian Population in Noordholland in Alkmaar for anyone wishing to reside in Haarlem or to move to Haarlem (p. 72); - Thank you letter from former underground member H. Houtman (real name: J. H. Blein) to van Dok; van Dok's assistance in the underground work and especially in appointing H. Houtman as a supervisor in the Evacuation Office in Alkmaar; possibility of access to food ration coupons and essential official documents (pp. 77-78), June 1945; - Various forms used by the Evacuation of the Civilian Population in Noordholland in Alkmaar (pp. 80-1852). Also in the file: "Een enkele oorlog (One War)", undated notice issued by the British Propaganda Office accompanied by photographs and notes from the various war fronts (p. 102).
