Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 158, dated 06 November 1940, regarding the establishment of a Supreme Comptroller's Bureau in order to stamp out corruption and vice in the ghetto
The Supreme Comptroller's Bureau is empowered to review the financial activities of every department in the ghetto; dismiss workers and officials, when necessary; implement changes in the work places;
temporarily detain defendants until they face trial.
Ghetto residents are requested to assist the Supreme Comptroller's Bureau and direct complaints to it.
