Establishment of Roland Nachtigal, a Ukrainian unit, by Himmler
- Establishment of and army unit called Roland Nachtigal, composed of Ukrainians in the Neuhammer, Sauberdorf and Sippendorf camps in Austria. The unit was established by the RFSS Himmler order, 16/09/1941. Military training by the commander of the Schupo in Frankfurt/Oder, instructions regarding supplying uniforms, arms, administration and logistics matters;
