Testimony of Gaby Gabriela (Fisher) Shorr, born in Paris, 1932, regarding her experiences in Lyon and in a dormitory in Nice Life in a village under the German occupation, and the first meeting with German soldiers; escape to Lyon, in the Free Zone; Petain's visit to Lyon; the large attack on St. Catherine Street, November 1943; her father works for the Jewish National Fund, JNF; her father works in cooperation with the Joint, in transferring money to the United States to finance the rescue of Jewish children; escape to Nice; life during the Italian occupation; activity in Hanoar Hatzioni and the Jewish Scouts; the German occupation of Nice, 1943; escape to Forcalquier; life in a dormitory in Bourg-En-Bresse; the daughters of the Chief Rabbi Jakob Kaplan, who lived in the dormitory under false names; confiscation of the dormitory by the French militia; transfer to a small Christian school in Lyon in the summer of 1944; her father is active in the underground; the witness is handed over to a children's home next to Aix-Les-Bains; the attack on the school by the French militia; liberation, and return to Paris. Aliya to Israel to Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu, 1949.
