Entry of Germans into Kielce; the ghetto; the ghetto Judenrat; forced labor in a quarry; transfer of all the Jews in the ghetto to Frampol, 1940; massacre of Jews; mass escape to the forests and the hunt after the escapees by the Germans and the Polish police; hiding in a bunker and a hayloft belonging to Poles, joining all the other Jews who were also in hiding; hiding during the day and roving the forests and villages at night, 1941-44; meeting with his sister in the forest; encounter with partisans who agreed to accept him if he could obtain weapons; stories of extermination of Jews told by Polish villagers; entry of the Soviets, 08/1944; murder of Jews who left their hideouts by Poles. Travel to Krasnik and then to Warsaw; receiving a certificate to immigrate to Eretz Israel with the help of his contacts with Zivia Lubetkin and Yitzhak Zuckerman. Arrival at Shfayim beach and from there to Givat Hashlosha, then living with his brother in Kiryat Ata, construction work, joining the IDF and combat on the northern front, 1948; marriage and starting a family, 1952.
