Life before the German occupation; member of the Techelet-Lavan (Blue and White) youth movement and studying law; served in the Czechoslovakian Army; work as a lawyer; German occupation, March 1939; member as the secretary of the Zionist organization in Brno; member of the Zionist leadership in Prague; work in the Eretz Israel office negoitiating for certificates; he was the secretary for Jacob Edelstein; the head of the department for the confiscation of Jewish owned property; deportation together with the Jewish leadership Theresienstadt, July 1943; preferred to work as a construction worker; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau in the autumn 1944; deportation to Kaufering camp; conditions in the camp, building bunkers and bringing wood; suffering from typhus and dysentery, April 1945; death march to Allach; liberation by the US Army, 29 April 1945.
Return to Prague; public activities and appointment as secretary of the Joint; rise of the Communist regime; escape from Czechoslovakia, 1948; aliya to Israel, 1949.
