Testimony of Aviva Viktoria (Blum) Vaks, born in Warsaw, Poland, 1932, regarding her experiences in Warsaw, the Warsaw Ghetto, the Warsaw area and in hiding Her childhood and family background; activities of her father, Abrasha Blum, in the Bund's Zukunft youth movement. Destruction of the family's home during air-raids at the outbreak of the war; move to a Warsaw suburb; establishment of the Warsaw Ghetto; ghetto life; deportation to the Umschlagplatz with her brother and sisters in the large "Aktion", 1942; rescue by her mother; escape to the Aryan side with her mother and siblings, February 1943; fate of her father; wanderings for several months; move to Grzegorzewice with her mother; stay with Polish estate owners for approximately one year; murder of the estate owner and his wife by Polish partisans; return to Warsaw with her mother; stay in Radosc until liberation by the Red Army. Appointment of her mother as the administrator of a Jewish orphanage in Otwock; joins Hashomer Hatzair; aliya to Israel, 1950; absorption.
