Testimony of Jakov Abramowicz, born in Sienkiewicze, Poland, 1910, regarding his experiences in Mokrowo, Sienkiewicze, the Lachwa Ghetto, with the partisans in the area and in the Red Army Murder of his parents by robbers; life in Lachwa during World War I; move of the family to Mokrowo; attends an ORT school in Bresc nad Bugiem; service in the Polish Army, 1931-1935; work in carpentry; marriage. Outbreak of the war; annexation to the Soviet Union; draft into the Red Army; service in Pinsk; outbreak of the war between Germany and the Soviet Union; return home; deportation to the Lachwa Ghetto; birth of his son in the Lachwa Ghetto; outbreak of an uprising one day before the liquidation of the ghetto; escape in a group; snatching of a rifle during the escape; joins the partisans in the Polesye forests; life in the forests; wanderings in the Pinsk and Lenin areas; liberation by the Red Army, 1944; move to Lublin; draft into the Red Arny; his unit joins at the Lithuanian front and advances to Germany. Return to Sienkiewicze after the war; release from the Red Army; wanderings in Europe; aliya attempt; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel.
