Life after annexation to the Soviet Union, 1939; German occupation, 1941; move to Stanislawow; attempts by a Polish acquaintance to transfer her family to Germany as ethnic Germans, and her father's refusal; deportation to the Stanislawow Ghetto, 1942; ghetto life: hunger, lice and disease; her mother's work outside the ghetto; escape with her brother to Buczacz; return to Stanislawow after the deportation of the Buczacz Jews; arrest after being informed on; imprisonment and trial; rescue by a Ukrainian physician; hidden in his home and other places, using Aryan documents; liberation by the Red Army.
