Testimony of Dov Fruman, born in Bedzin, Poland, 1929, regarding his experiences in Bedzin, the Bedzin Ghetto and Blechhammer, Karvinna, Buchenwald and Gross-Rosen camps His childhood in a religious family. German occupation, September 1939; burning of synagogues; confiscation of Jewish property, 1940-1941; rescue from deportations to extermination; establishment of the Bedzin Ghetto; witness' deportation to labor in Karvinna camp in quarries, 1943; transfer to Blechhammer camp number three; camp life; labor as an electrician; dysentery; recuperation; air-raids; executions; death march to Gross-Rosen camp, December 1944; transfer to Buchenwald; rescue during a selection for extermination; mass mortality in Buchenwald; liberation by the US Army, 11 April 1945. Help from a military chaplain; Germans are brought from Weimar to bury the corpses of murdered inmates; move to France with help from the OSE; aliya to Eretz Israel with Youth Aliyah, 1945.
