Annexation to Hungary; shortages; deportation of Jews without Hungarian citizenship to Poland; draft of his father to forced labor; witness' expulsion from the school; round-up of Jews in the local school, April 1944; deportation to the Iza Ghetto, approximately one week later; deportation to Auschwitz, approximately two weeks later; labor as an assistant in service to the block, Stubedienst; transfer to Gusen camp, October 1944; labor in a Messerschmitt factory; transfer to the tent camp in Mauthausen, April 1945; march to Gunskirchen for four days; death of many marchers; liberation.
Reunion with his sister in Budapest; travel to Austria; move to a refugee camp in Modena; aliya training in the Salerno area; illegal immigration to Eretz Israel.
