Testimony of Michla Michcza (Vidavska) Traube, born in Lask, Poland, 1919, regarding her experiences in the Lask Ghetto, the Lodz Ghetto, Auschwitz, Sasel, Hamburg and Bergen-Belsen Life in the Lask Ghetto; "Aktion" and selection, September 1942; deportation to the Lodz Ghetto as part of an exchange of essential professionals between the ghettos; labor at sewing; meets her dying brother and his rescue; ghetto life; activities in the Hahazit youth movement; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau, 1944; smuggles in a needle which, later on, makes it possible for her to support herself from sewing; transfer to Hamburg women's labor camp eight days later; labor clearing away rubble; transfer to Sasel labor camp; illness and treatment at the camp clinic for several months; transfer to Bergen-Belsen eight days before liberation. Hospitalization in Germany and Sweden; aliya attempt on the ship, "Chaim Arlozorov"; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, February 1947.
