Hungarian occupation and deterioration of the situation, 1939; restrictions on the Jews from 1942; excommunication by the Jewish community of Jews involved in Zionist activities and who plan to make aliya to Eretz Israel; establishment of the Chust Ghetto, 1944; confiscation of Jewish property; deportation of the family to Auschwitz-Birkenau; selection; separation from his mother; transfer to Buna-Auschwitz; receives number A7924; labor in construction; rescue of the witness and his brother by a Kapo; transfer to a protected block; transfer to labor in a factory and improvement in conditions; approach of the front and departure on a death march, 18 January 1945; arrival to Gleiwitz; transfer in open railroad cars to Dora camp in Nordhausen; labor in a subterranean missile factory; air-raids by the US Army and transfer of the inmates to Bergen-Belsen by train, late March 1945; liberation by the British Army, 15 April 1945. Aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
