Testimony of Max Drimer, born in Poland, regarding his experiences in Sachsenhausen and Buna camps and in hiding Emigration of his parents to Germany. Deportation to Sachsenhausen as a Jew born in Germany with Polish citizenship, 1939; camp life; labor in a brick factory; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau, 1942; selection; transfer to Buna and labor in a rubber factory; receives help from a Pole in the camp and the witness' escape from camp with a friend; arrival to the Pole's home in Nowa Wies and where he was hidden for several months; escape to Gleiwitz and life in hiding with a friend; move to a village; liberation by the Red Army. Marriage; return visit to the camps where he was an inmate.
