German occupation; attends a secret Jewish school; move with Hanoar Hatzioni to a farm in Sosnowiec; rescue from selections; deportation to the Sosnowiec Ghetto, 1942; ghetto life; deportation to Gelenau; camp life including forced labor in a weaving factory; transfer to Langenbielau, 1944; camp life; transfer to Bergen-Belsen, February 1945; typhus; liberation by the British Army, 15 April 1945. Lengthy hospitalization; move to a Nochum organization "kibbutz" in Bergen-Belsen; aliya attempt, late 1946; capture by the British; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Israel, 1948.
