Outbreak of the war; entry of the Germans, November 1942; drafted to forced labor in the "open labor camp" in Sfax; labors in an oil plant; labors unloading ammunition from German ships at the Sfax port; camp life; liberation by the British Army, 14 April 1943.
Drafted into the FFL, the Free French Army; participates in the invasion of Normandy; visits the Dachau camp a few days after it is liberated; return to Tunisia, 1946; aliya, 1949.
