Testimony of Aleksander Orlender Orli, born in Zolkiew, Poland, 1935, regarding his experiences in Zolkiew, the Zolkiew Ghetto and in hiding His childhood in Zolkiew. Outbreak of the war; his family gives shelter in their home to refugees; death of his father in Tarnopol; first "Aktion", late 1942; deportation to the Zolkiew Ghetto together with his mother and sister; murder of his mother on the street; move of the children to a bunker by their relatives; life in hiding for 18 months; liberation by the Red Army, July 1944. Move to Poland, 1945; move to Germany and France; illegal aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the "Exodus" ship; deportation to Hamburg; move to Bad Reichenhall; aliya to Eretz Israel on the "Negbah" ship.
