Outbreak of the war, 1939; escape of the family to Tarnopol; move to Lwow; fear of deportation to Siberia; German occupation, 1941; forced labor cleaning homes of German soldiers; move of the family to Witkow Stary and then to Witkow Nowy; hidden in a barn by an acquaintance; liberation by the Red Army, 1944.
Return of the family to Lwow; move to Lodz; DP camp life in Fohrenwald, 1945-1946; aliya to Eretz Israel via Marseille, 1947.
