Testimony of Aharon Ofen, born in Tarnow, Poland, 1923, regarding his experiences in the Tarnow Ghetto, Plaszow, Melk and Ebensee Family with 10 children; his father owns a fish and poultry shop. Establishment of the Tarnow Ghetto, 1941; survival of the family due to a work permit, obtained for them by a German fish supplier, that was valid until the deportation, 1942; deportation with his sister to labor in Plaszow; labor tailoring; transfer of his sister to labor in Kamienna Skarzysko, six months later; murder of his parents in Treblinka; camp life in Plaszow for approximately 18 months; transfer to Mauthausen via Auschwitz; transfer to Melk and labor building gravel ramps, two weeks later; approach of the US Army front and evacuation to Ebensee; evacuation by the Jewish Brigade to Italy and then to Sicily; liberation, 05 May 1945. Sets sail on the "Wedgwood" ship and aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
