German occupation and deportation to Pazardzhik with his family and then to Cepelare; decrees and the yellow badge; deportation to a village, one year later; rescue of the Sofia deportees and their move to Plovdiv by the Jewish Agency; help from the local Plovdiv Jewish population; deportation of his father to a labor camp; strengthening of the anti-fascist partisans, 1944; activities against the Germans and their collaborators; end of the war, 1945.
Aliya to Eretz Israel via Yugoslavia and then by ship with a group of young people; enlists in the IDF in the War of Independence; his family joins him in Israel, nine months later; marriage, 1948.
