German occupation, May 1940; move to a Jewish school, and anti-Jewish decrees, one year later; deportation of the S-Hertogenbosch Jews, August 1942; receives a deportation deferment due to her father's essential work; escape to a hiding place in Berlicum and hidden by a Christian family several days later; life in one room in a building that had been a small hotel; in hiding in an attic, from autumn 1944; departure from the village with the local population following a battle; crosses the lines toward Oss which is under Allied control.
Return to S-Hertogenbosch several months later; aliya to Israel, 1951.
