German occupation; deportation to a ghetto; labor in a nail factory and breaking into locked shops for the Germans; deportation to Auschwitz, late May 1944; selection and transfer from Birkenau to Auschwitz to labor as an engraver in a Union factory; labor in the night shift, mid-June 1944-mid-January 1945; daily camp life and "trade" in the camp; evacuation of the camp, mid-January 1945; death march to Gross-Rosen; transfer to Buchenwald in open cattle cars and the survival of few inmates; transfer to Krawinkel camp; transfer to Ohrdruf; return to Buchenwald; the SS men flee; liberation.
