Detention of his father as a Communist and his escape to the partisans; volunteers to join his brother in labor, March 1942; stay in Zilina for ten days; deportation to Auschwitz on a train; camp registration process and tattooing of his number; entry into Birkenau; labor digging pits, moving cement and other materials to build the crematoria; labor moving corpses from a cart to the fire pits in exchange for an extra portion of bread; labor for the camp commander for one month; good attitude of the camp commander; labor as a clerk; lists the number of laborers each day; labor for Affe Tin, the block elder; labor in a laundry and storeroom where the laborers search for gold and diamonds inside the clothes; accumulation of wealth; his name is mentioned in relation to an unsuccessful escape attempt and transfer to the punishment block in Auschwitz; life in the punishment block including violence and suffering; transfer of the punishment block inmates to Sachsenhausen where the witness presents himself as a Pole, 1944; evacuation by train and on foot to Buchenwald, December 1944; escape from a roll-call meant to identify Jews; transfer to Litomerice and labor in a subterranean tank factory while using a false identity, until March 1945; transfer on a train to somewhere near Prague; hidden by a baker together with a friend, until the end of the war.
