Escape to Kleczow at the outbreak of the war; life in the Zagorow Ghetto; escape to Sompolo and then to Radziejow; transfer to an open ghetto in Visnice Nowy; travel to Krakow; transfer to Prokocim with his father and brother and labor on railroad tracks for the Klug company; his mother's murder; transfer to Plaszow and labor stoking a railroad engine, late 1942; typhus; transfer to Werk C in Skarzysko, autumn 1943; transfer to Solejow and labor digging pits, July 1944; transfer to Buchenwald and a sub-camp, Schlieben; his father's death; transfer to Theresienstadt by train and on foot; liberation.
