Testimony of Yitzhak Grabovski, born in Wieruszow, Poland, 1919, regarding his experiences in labor camps, Auschwitz and death marches Life in the Jewish community and his family in Wieruszow. Attempts to escape from Wieruszow after the outbreak of the war, 01 September 1939; return to Wieruszow, mid-October 1939; forced labor cleaning and farming in the Gendarmerie in Podzamcze; deportation of all the youth to camps, August 1941; deportation by train to Wielun; meets his mother at the railroad station; transfer from Wielun to Fugenburg camp; labor as a registrar in German and helping an orderly; liquidation of Fugenburg camp, mid-1942; murder of the sick inmates in Kreising camp; transfer of the healthy inmates to Stefankowa camp; deportation to Auschwitz, August 1943; arrival at Auschwitz; transfer to Jaworzno camp to forced labor mining coal; death marches via Gross-Rosen, Blechhammer and Buchenwald camps, January 1945; liberation at Dachau.
