German occupation; murder of her father; help from a Polish friend who manages a farm in Hanuszyn; life in the Ludmir Ghetto until 1942; escape from the ghetto with help from the Polish friend in Hanuszyn; life in hiding; attack on Hanuszyn by partisans; the Germans burn the village; escape from the hiding place; separation from her mother and sister; wanderings between villages and forests in the area; fostering by a Polish family; rescue of her mother and sister by a German soldier; loss of contact with her mother and sister; life using a Polish identity with a Polish family; wanderings from place to place until liberation by the Red Army, spring 1944. Return to Ludmir; adoption offer by a Pole; reunion with her mother and sister; repatriation to Poland, 1945; life in Bytom; Bericha activities in Bytom; move to Austria with help from Bericha; sets sail for Eretz Israel on the "Exodus" ship; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947.
