German occupation; life in Krakow; work in construction together with his brother; return to Kozlow, 1940; livelihood as a peddler; confiscation of his grandfather's flour mill by the Germans, 1941; escape from deportation, August 1942; deportation to Prokocim, summer 1943; transfer to Biezanow; camp life; transfer to Skarzysko-Kamienna; camp life including labor in an ammunitions factory, May 1944; liquidation of the camp, July 1944; transfer to Czestochowianka-HASAG, August 1944; deportation to Buchenwald, January 1945; camp life; writes a personal diary in Buchenwald; liberation by the US Army, April 1945.
