Testimony of Leo Laufer, born in Lodz, 1922, regarding his experiences in Ruchockimlyn, Schwaningen, Wittenberge, Eichenwald, Auschwitz-Birkenau and other places German occupation; deportation to Ruchockimlyn in the Poznan area, October 1940; camp life including an inmates' uprising and labor paving roads; transfer to Schwaningen; transfer to Wittenberge; transfer to Eichenwald; camp life, March 1941-August 1943; transfer to Auschwitz-Birkenau, August 1943; camp life, including labor in the "Potato" Kommando and weaving; liquidation of the camp; transfer to Ohrdruf via Buchenwald, Sachsenhausen and Dachau, October 1944; camp life including the murder of inmates; death march; escape; liberation, April 1945. Work for UNRRA in Germany, until 1948; immigration to the United States.
