Detention of his father; transfer of his brother to a labor battalion, 1942; German occupation, March 1944; offer of a hiding place by a non-Jew to the witness and his sister; rejection of the offer by the witness' father; deportation to a brick factory in Hatvan, April 1944; life in the brick factory including abuse of the Jews and humiliation of the rabbi; deportation to a labor brigade in Kiszombor; camp life including meeting his father; escape to Hatvan with his father; deportation to Auschwitz, May 1945; Auschwitz-Birkenau camp life with his father; murder of Gypsies; transfer to the children's block; smuggled into the sick room; joins a labor group; transfer to Kaufering; camp life including forced labor for the "Holcman" and "Moll" companies; transfer to Dachau, spring 1944; shelling by the US Army; liberation by the US Army, May 1945. Return to Apc, summer 1945; move from Hungary with the Maccabi Hatzair movement, February 1946; aliya to Eretz Israel on the "Max Nordau" ship, 1946.
