Outbreak of the war in the Netherlands; residence in Arnheim; deportation to a camp for young inmates in Westerbork; letters from the Red Cross in Eretz Israel regarding issue of certificates for young people in exchange for German POWs in Eretz Israel; transfer to Bergen-Belsen and implementation of two exchanges of camp inmates for POWs, 1944; travel by train towards Theresienstadt, April 1945; liberation by the Red Army at Trobik, late April 1945.
Move to Leipzig on US Army trucks and then via Belgium to Amsterdam; life in a DP camp with repatriates; contact with Zionist organizations; contact with Jewish Brigade soldiers in France; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
