Testimony of Tuvia Iunger, born in Ujpest, 1925, regarding his experiences in labor battalions and on the Bericha routes Family; learns in a yeshiva and a local high school; works cutting out gloves; obtains citizenship papers for his parents; life until the entry of the Germans. Anti-Jewish legislation issued by Endre Laszlo; labor in construction; deportation of the family to the ghetto, May 1944; drafted to Vac; transfer to Bor, June 1944; labor in building railroad lines within the Innsbruck camp; meets his brother-in-law; attitude of the Hungarian soldiers; retreat in the wake of the approach of the Russian front, September-October 1944; murder of about 3,500 people by SS men in Crvenka; liberation of the labor battalion, approximately 2000 people, by Tito's partisans; receives food and a transit pass to Romania. Receives help from Jews in Bucharest and Timisoara; return to Budapest, February 1945; reunion with his four brothers and sister; joins Dror Habonim, December 1945; helps in transferring orphans to Eretz Israel through the Bericha organization, 1946; sets sail on the ship "Lo Tafchidunu" with his wife and daughter, December 1947; deportation to Cyprus, 1947; aliya to Eretz Israel, February 1948.
