Testimony of Rivka Levi, born in Zawiercie, regarding her experiences in the Zawiercie Ghetto and Gebhardsdorf camp Family; ultra-Orthodox life at home and at school; antisemitsm, 1936; the family moves to the center of the town; arrival of German refugees, 1938-1939; family escapes to Wodzislaw, 1940; family returns to Zawiercie; restrictions for Jews and confiscation of property; an atmosphere of fear; the arrival of the Jewish "informer" from Sosnowiec; hides from "Aktions" and is caught by the Jewish militia; deportation with 200 women to Gebhardsdorf camp, winter 1942; labors in a factory spinning thread; the humane treatment by the Czechoslovakian factory manager; life in the camp; organizing the girls to learn Hebrew; organizing Seder night at Pesach; walks in the area of the camp; labors fortifying and digging trenches, winter 1944; liberation by the Red Army, May 1945. Former British POWs protect the women from Russians; witness returns to Zawiercie; organization of aliya training in a religious group in Sosnowiec by Chaim Basok; through Czechoslovakia and Germany with Bericha; moves to Leipheim, 1947; aliya to Eretz Israel onboard the "Latrun"; detention in Cyprus by the British; joins Kibbutz Saad.
